The university was established in 1892 as Strayer’s Business College by Dr. S. Irving Strayer. It was established to teacher former farm workers business skills, such as typing, accounting, and shorthand. The university is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, and has more than 90 campuses in 23 states, mainly in eastern, southern and Midwestern US.

Besides, if you are a transferred student from another post-secondary education institution, you must be eligible to receive transfer credit or advanced standing if your work at the other institution is appropriate.
