Freshman Academic Profile: Average high school GPA 3. 7% in top 10% of high school class, 24% in top 25% of high school class, 57% in top 50% of high school class. SAT Math middle 50% range 390-500. SAT Critical Reading middle 50% range 400-507.5. ACT middle 50% range 17-22. Minimum paper TOEFL 500. Minimum computer TOEFL 173.

Basis for Candidate Selection: Very important factors considered include: Academic GPA, standardized test scores.

Freshman Admission Requirements: High school diploma is required and GED is accepted. Academic units required: 4 English, 3 mathematics, 3 science, (2 science labs), 3 social studies, 1 history. Academic units recommended: 2 foreign language.

Freshman Admission Statistics: 3,400 applied, 79% admitted, 45% enrolled.

Transfer Admission Requirements: College transcript(s), minimum college GPA of 2.00 required. Lowest grade transferable D.

General Admission Information: Notification on a rolling basis, beginning on or about 10/1. Nonfall registration accepted. Credit and/or placement offered for CEEB Advanced Placement tests.

COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID

Annual in-state tuition $4,656. Annual out-of-state tuition $9,956. Room and board $5,990. Average book expense $900.

Student Employment: Federal Work-Study Program available. Institutional employment available. Off-campus job opportunities are good.
